Supportive care for mental health needs, focusing on stability, wellbeing, and daily independence. City Carers is registered for this specialism. The old website listed it and then never gave it a page. This is that page.
Our carers are not therapists and this service is not a crisis team. Clinical treatment stays with the GP, community mental health team or hospital. What we can do is help the ordinary day hold together: getting up, eating, keeping a room comfortable, attending an appointment, and having a steady person to talk with.
Plans are written with the person. We note what helps on a difficult day and what to avoid. If there is a risk plan from a clinician, we follow the part of it that applies to home care and we escalate worries to the people named in the plan.
If you need urgent mental health help, contact your crisis team, NHS 111 or 999. For a planned package of home support in North West London, ask us for a free assessment.
