This is regulated home care, not a nursery place and not casual babysitting. Families usually come to us when a child has a health need, a disability, or when parents and carers need a planned break. The CQC registration for City Carers includes children from birth to 18.
We agree who will be in the home, what personal care is required, how medication is handled, and how we communicate with parents. Respite can be a few hours or a longer break, written into the plan so the child knows who is coming.
